Background Information:

My name is Sophie and I work at Bardney Church of England and Methodist Primary, a small village school with a lovely community feel. Although I love teaching all age phases, my favourite age to teach is upper ks2, where pupils and teaching staff can work together to access a complex curriculum thus allowing the children to grow in confidence and become independent and passionate learners.

Support and Qualifications:

Lincolnshire ks2 writing moderator for the past 2 years.

Assessment Co-ordinator for my school federation.

Active English trainer.

ITT – School Direct Lead Mentor. (Working closely with BGU to support ITT training.)

Literacy Co-ordinator for my school federation – English Literature BA Hons.

Most current work/experience:

Year 6 Easter Booster school.

KS2 Writing Moderation.

Active English trainer.

Why you wanted to become an SLE:

I love working with other leaders to enable research-based initiatives to be implemented and thus help the children throughout Lincolnshire to thrive and succeed to the best of their abilities.
